Studio Etiquette

Your yoga practice begins as soon as you walk in the front door and greet the friendly front desk team. The majority of our classes are on a first-come, first served basis. You can schedule or cancel a class online up to one hour before class starts. Please no phone reservations. If you see that a class is no longer available for online sign-in, it doesn’t mean the class is full just that the signup period has passed or we have reached our limit for pre-registration. We always save some spots for walk-ins.

  • If possible, shower before your practice and avoid wearing heavy perfumes. Other yogis may be allergic to such scents
  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Only bring a mat, towel and water into the practice room. Leave all other items in the change room or in the basket at reception (keys, cell phones)
  • Economy classes are $9, regular class packages may be used.  They can be quite busy, so please give yourself at least 30 minutes
  • Latecomers will not be permitted into class – please respect your teachers and fellow yogis who worked hard to get to class on time
  • Silence in the practice room at all times, especially after class during savasana
  • Please leave valuables at home as the studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items
  • Empty belly = happy yogi

Yoga is about clearing away whatever is in us that prevents our living in the most full and whole way. With yoga, we become aware of how and where we are restricted, in body, mind, and heart- and how gradually to open and release these blockages. As these blockages are cleared, our energy is freed. We start to feel more harmonious, more at one with ourselves. Our lives begin to flow, or we begin to flow more in our lives. -Cybele Tomlinson
